We all have moments of crisis. We can feel overwhelmed with life. We struggle with hurt and pain. Who do you turn to?
If you’re not sure, but you need some support, there is the Crisis Text Line.
Text “Hello” to 741741 from anywhere in the United States, and a trained volunteer Crisis Counselor will respond and provide support. According to the website, you’ll usually be connected with a Crisis Counselor within five minutes, and conversations tend to last between 15-45 minutes.
Remember that this text line is for if you’re in any kind of crisis, not just for if you’re having suicidal thoughts (although if you are, here’s another resource for you: the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is 1-800-273-8255, and is staffed 24/7).
Please consider adding the Crisis Text Line to your phone’s Contacts List, and telling your friends about this resource as well. There is crisis help available, just one text away.
